Kolos is an authorized dealer of Heila Cranes. We support you all the way from specification to operation: selecting the right crane for your vessel and application, delivering it with the correct documentation, and providing aftermarket support that keeps your crane working throughout its entire service life.
With service engineers, a spare parts inventory, and statutory inspections all under one roof, we ensure reliable performance, compliance, and maximum uptime.
One partner throughout the crane’s entire service life
A marine crane is not just a purchase, it’s a 20-year relationship. The cost of the crane itself is only a fraction of what downtime can cost over its lifetime. That’s why choosing a supplier should be as much about what happens after delivery as what happens before it.
When you choose Heila through Kolos, you get:
Our engineers understand both the Heila product portfolio and the requirements of the Norwegian offshore industry. We help you specify the correct capacity, outreach, AHC, ATEX, personnel lifting capabilities, and other key requirements before the order is placed...not after.
With six service engineers, a 24-hour support hotline (+47 905 80 510), and mobilization within 12 hours across Southern Norway, we are ready when you need us.
Critical components and wear parts are often stocked at our Sola facility, enabling delivery in many cases within just a few days.
Kolos is an accredited competent inspection body. Your crane is inspected, tested, and documented by people who know the equipment, eliminating the need to coordinate multiple suppliers.
One point of contact. Norwegian language. Norwegian regulatory requirements. Straightforward communication and support throughout the crane’s operational life.
A Heila HR 650/20-2BJ was delivered in 2026 and is currently operating on the offshore support vessel (OSV) Artabro. The crane has achieved 100% uptime with no reported deviations, and was specially configured with Active Heave Compensation (AHC) for subsea lifting operations down to 1,000 metres.
“We are extremely satisfied with the collaboration and the high standard of service provided. The project was completed to our full satisfaction, and we would not hesitate to recommend HEILA CRANES to others.”
– Gonzalo Gonzales, ACSM Shipping Co.
Heila’s knuckle telescopic boom cranes deliver a powerful combination of compact design, precise maneuverability, and exceptional lifting performance—purpose‑built for the toughest marine and offshore environments. Designed for long‑term durability at sea, they provide smooth operation, simplified maintenance, and a wide range of advanced customization options to meet any operational challenge.
Heila’s Fully Foldable Telescopic Crane brings heavyweight performance to small workboats, tugs, and pontoons. Combining compact storage with high maneuverability, it’s the go-to solution for deck-limited environments where versatility and efficiency in cargo, hose, and RIB handling are essential.
Heila Knuckle Boom Cranes are engineered for demanding marine and offshore operations, offering exceptional maneuverability, high lifting capacity, and advanced safety features, including optional Active Heave Compensation for precise load control in harsh sea conditions.
The combination of an articulated and telescopic boom provides high lifting capacity at short outreach while offering excellent manoeuvrability. These cranes are a popular choice for buoy handling, equipment lifts, and general deck operations on workboats and offshore vessels.
Ideal for operators who need maximum lifting capacity while working within limited deck space.
Fully foldable when stowed, yet offering an extensive working range in operation. The HLM series features boom folding and 360°+ rotation, while the HLRM series is equipped with a slewing ring for continuous rotation.
Available with a wide range of options, including MOPS/AOPS, constant tension, personnel lifting, ATEX certification, and more, allowing the crane to be tailored to specific operational requirements.
Ideal for operators who need a versatile crane solution for small workboats, tugboats, and pontoons.
Built for demanding offshore operations
Engineered for reliable performance in harsh offshore environments, these cranes can be equipped with Active Heave Compensation (AHC) for precise load control in rough sea conditions. Designed and certified in accordance with the requirements of DNV, Lloyd’s Register, and Bureau Veritas, they provide the safety, reliability, and operational performance required for critical lifting operations at sea.
Ideal for operators who need heavy lifting capability in dynamic offshore environments.
Kolos works with AHC and winch systems daily in our own projects. This means that when you're considering a Heila crane with heave compensation, you're talking to people who understand the system in operation, not just on a datasheet. We help you assess whether AHC is actually right for your operation, and what it demands of your vessel, hydraulics, and training.
Crane downtime rarely affects only the crane—it often impacts the entire vessel. That is why our aftermarket services are built around one goal: keeping your equipment operational and productive.
Planned maintenance and corrective repairs carried out by our service engineers based in Sola. We offer a 24-hour service hotline at +47 905 80 510 for rapid support whenever needed.
Looking for a service agreement? We offer a range of maintenance contracts tailored to different operational requirements and fleet sizes.
We stock selected components locally and can source spare parts for all types of cranes, helping to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
Annual inspections, load testing, and certification performed by our accredited competent inspection body. All documentation is available through the Kolos Kontroll Portal, providing easy access to certificates, reports, and compliance records.
Through our partnership with Heila and our extensive expertise in marine cranes and lifting systems, we provide crane refurbishments, control system upgrades, and the retrofit of Active Heave Compensation (AHC) systems.
Our tailored upgrade solutions help extend crane service life, improve performance, and ensure compliance with today’s requirements for efficiency, precision, and safety.
